Whew, what a week. I was alone in my apartment watching. My spouse was in the arena in Philly, or in the press pavilion, trying to cover what he could, on assignment as a member of the press.
May I just take a moment to say, with a surprising degree of feeling — THANK YOU SO MUCH to Kos and the Front Pagers / Live Bloggers who did such consistently fine work in covering the details as they were happening! It gave me great comfort, sitting there in Brooklyn with my laptop on lap and C-Span on the big screen, great comfort and a huge sense of team spirit to watch it all with my favorite online crew of people who really get into this stuff as I do.
I want to start naming names, but once you name 6 or 7 or 8, you really don’t want to mess up and fail to mention other amazing contributors whom you meant to also include.
So please, the lot of you, DKos live bloggers, please accept these thanks. You gave me such good company and cameraderie these past four nights. Thank you!
For your superb on-the-fly transcription and promotion of the most punchy or inspiring statements, and how WHOOSH! no sooner was it said, than one of you had put it up for us to see and share and discuss.
For your good sense of when to start a new thread after 200, 300+ comments made page-refreshing cumbersome.
For your thoughtfulness and keen insights, your added pieces of relevant context, as things happened.
For your clear enthusiasm and ever-present dedication to what’s at stake for us as a party and as a nation, in this election. You helped so much, for those of us who chose to spend our time here while watching.
Thank you!!!
