The Biden Administration is moving fast on multiple fronts… including this one! Bye bye, racist-as-f^^k white supremacist government document that lasted two short days.
[And now that this is on the Rec/Trending list, please allow me to point something else out. It relates to the removal of the white supremacist manifesto. President Biden directly called out ‘white supremacy’ by its namein his Inaugural Address, and he said, quote “we will confront it and defeat it.” That is historic. Sad that circumstances have led him to have to call it out, but gratifying that he did. This is significant because something like 50% of his Address was about unity, finding common ground, not going scorched earth over political disagreements. So it’s vitally important to understand that when Biden talks about unity, Biden means “unity…. up to a point.”He does not mean finding common ground with the MAGA racist diehards.]
Elsewhere we’re seeing lists — LISTS! — of all the immediate actions being taken by President Biden on Day 1. Keystone Pipeline nixed. Racial equity. Immigration hardline reversed. On and on. So much more to come but what a strong start. From the comments, thanks DRo, here is a really good concise tweeted list from Bo Erickson at CBS News.
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU to everyone who volunteered and donated and voted to make this happen.
Out with toxicity. In with rescue. Sweet relief. We did it and we have so much more to do and we’re ready.
